Electronic Speed Governing System
An Electronic Speed Governor is a device which electronically controls the energy source to a prime mover to control its power for a specific purpose.
It “controls” the accelerator / engine depending on the condition of sea, meaning it automatically changes the fuel admission to maintain the desired speed or load. If parameter(s) of the loop change this will affect the entire control loop and fuel admission will automatically be corrected to maintain the desired set point.
1. Better engine start behaviour
2. Improved soot emission
3. Lower fuel consumption on start-up
4. Improved reliability and maintenance
